TRUNK OPEN warning light?

I can't get the TRUNK OPEN warning light to go off. It's not a performance or safety issue with my 2002 Impala LS, but it sure is annoying!!

I've replaced the switch in the trunk, it's latching fine, the inside, remote and key release all work fine. How the **** do I get the light to shut off?

(BTW, all the other functions in the message center appear to work fine, like LOW FUEL, CHANGE ENGINE OIL, LOW TIRE PRESSURE, and so on. They just alternate with the eternal TRUNK OPEN one..)

Thanks in advance for the help!

Bill

Re: TRUNK OPEN warning light?

Thanks for all the reads, guess it's just my luck to have a problem no one else has seen before. Guess I'll just have to live with it................
