A/C Switch Question...

Hi all. I have an 03' Alero, and have a question thats more of an annoyance, than anything serious. On my A/C control, everytime my car is turned off, or the A/C is on, and then turned off the MAX button that allows the inside air to be recycled resets itself so that when you turn the A/C back on you have to re-push the button for it to recycle the inside air.
It seems when I bought the car new, I did not have to push that button everytime that I turned the air on. If I remember right before the A/C control would "remember" that I had it on "Max" and would remain on "Max" control even after the switch had been turned off, and then back on.
Just wondering if I am remembering correctly, or if everyones A/C switch is like this... Hope I made since, I couldn't think of another way to word this! lol...
Thanks in advance!

Re: A/C Switch Question...

My 99 alero has always defaulted to outside air mode, never remembered anything. I have always had to turn it back to inside mode after shutdown. First car I ever had that did that, I think there was not a lot of thought put into it at the customers expense. Just my opinion.
