Question? Turbo

What model kit has the best looking turbo in it. The GNX has a crappy one and you can't make it better. I would prefer a twin setup but not necessary.

Re: Question? Turbo

Try on Hiroboy's site. I've seen some very nice resin ones. Here is a link http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=25_32_55

Re: Question? Turbo

Any kit's turbos can look good if you're willing to put a bit of work into them.

Re: Question? Turbo

I would say one of the best box stock turbos I have seen yet are the ones in the Fujimi 1/16 Porsche 959:

That does look good, but you kinda expect that from a large scale kit. 1/24 is usually pretty simplified.

Re: Question? Turbo

Thanks guys
I thought about the resin ones but some resin manufactures takes months to fill your order. If a kit has a good one, I can search the LHS and craft stores in town to locate one quicker. Plus the kit may have some extra goodies that I can uese.

Yeah, yeah- did I mention something about not finished? I haven't taken pics yet, but it looks even better with the compressors and intercoolers installed.

Re: Question? Turbo

FYI, these 1/24 turbo parts are from Fujimi's Enthusiast series 911 turbo kit, and it's one of the most convincing-looking turbo that I know in 1/24 scale.
The problem is there's only one set in each kit, so it's not quite practical when you need two, or more.

Re: Question? Turbo

The Revell Premium Alpina B7 (tuned BMW 635i) has a great turbo as well. Very nicely detailed.
