bed cover

I am going to put a bed cover on my new truck. Either a roll & lock or a fiberglass cover . What is your opinion. Does the roll & lock flap (move with the wind) while you are driving on the highway and make noise? Does the roll springs last. Any help you could give me. The hard cover I am looking at is the Undercover.

Re: bed cover

I'd go with the hardcover, but that's just my opinion. I think they look better.

Re: bed cover

I have the hardcover and wouldn't think twice about getting the roll-top cover. Just looks better imo. Considering I have my stereo system in the bed of the truck the soft-top just didn't give me the security I needed in a hardtop.

Re: bed cover

I have a gmc 2500hd and bought a used Undercover hard solid cover and Absolutly Love it. At first I wanted the tri-fold more than anything but now you couldn't give me one over the solid one.....

Re: bed cover

I have a gaylords hard tonneau cover, and i love it. The only problem is that i need another person to take it off, or when i need to put something big in the bed of my truck, i have to leave the tonneau cover open but i rarely do any of those things.

Re: bed cover

I guess I'm still partial to my canopy. It lets you put big stuff in the back and keep it dry. I made an easy off system in my garage so that I can remove the canopy without any help...

Just my worth.

Re: bed cover

I have the roll up, as nice looking as those hard covers are, the roll up is easier to work out of when you have a bedfull of gear at a horse show or something. It all depends on how you use your truck.
