Re: parallel wireing

couldn't understand what you just described, but both your + should be connected to the + on the amp, both - connected to the - on the amp.

If all else fails, www.rockfordfosgate.com and check the wiring diagrams!

Re: parallel wireing

If youre trying to get a 1 ohm load then you should have the two negative on both coils connected then connected to the neg on the amp. the same with the positive.

um that would give me a .5 ohm load, 2 ohm dvc. the jumper is on + and - in the middle and the amp is feeding the + and - on the outside

Re: parallel wireing

There are no jumpers in a parallel setup only in series, in parallel the wires whould go pos-pos to the amp pos and neg-neg to the amp neg. This will net 1 ohm load on DVC. IF you add the other in then it goes to .5ohm.

use this it even shows how the wires should be on the sub.

An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Re: parallel wireing

Wire is just like the diagram looks like and you'll get the power load it states.

Re: parallel wireing

What amp do you have, depending on the model and brand you should be able to hook it up. Unless its 1ohm mono block.

Re: parallel wireing

Wow that amps only 2-ohm stable, your only option is to get it to 8-ohms, unles you want to put down for a new amp.

You could try and check it with a DMM cause even when they say there 4-ohm its never a perfect 4-ohm its sometimes 3.66 same with all other ohm ratings. But if possible id suggest either a different amp or sub if theres a return policy on them, if not we can see what can be done to make it work. also is it for a single sub or 2. If you go 4 ohm if you have a single then you should be in the realm of about 325 rms.

Re: parallel wireing

NO ... that's series wiring. If you want parrallel, you need a "jumper" between the 2 +'s AND the 2 -'s on EACH speaker. Unfortunately, you have dual 2 ohm VC's. Each speaker can be wired to be a 1 ohm or 4 ohm, the amp has a pair of outputs that are wired in parrallel already, so it will see a 1/2 ohm load if the speakers are wired in parrallel or 2 ohms if the speakers are wired in series.
