88 Grand AM: Need Wire Color Code For Radio

I just got a radio and I need to color code for an 88 Grand AM. Please help!

Welcome to AF !

You are going to need a good manual with the wire color codes.
Here is a link that might have one free wire diagrams .
I guess a Haynes manual might have the wire colors.

IMO Your best bet is to just run new wires.
Also I believe thiers a factory amp,
that can give you problems when installing an aftermarket radio.

That link didn't have it.

I didn't have a problem when putting in my old CD player, but when it got stolen they CUT the wires to take it out, so to put in a new one I have to find out what wires go where. I looked in the manual that came with the car but it didn't have it.

Sorry that link didnt have it.

So how did you hook it up the first time ?

Your best bet is to buy a repair manual(the one that comes with the car doesnt have anything pertaining to repairs) like chilton or haynes.

You can also goto a Library if you get an account or you can photo copy what you need for free, just a little work
