Suburban Door handles on Silverado?

Ok, here is my dilemma my 01 Silverado had the locks pushed in by wannabe car thieves. My original door handles are now broken so I have to replace them, but instead of getting an exact replacement I want to replace them with the ones from the rear doors off a Suburban or a crew cab pick up. Any advise? Will they fit? or should I just replace them with the correct ones. I have keyless entry and can unlock them using the remote.

I do not see why they would not fit.. As long as the Sub is the same year or style as your 01, they should fit.

Yea, you can do it. Just remember if your remote quits working you have no keyhole for entry. That's the only reason I never did it, but I tend to worry about the small stuff.
