I am not up much on the sub boxes.
But start with a large fuse at battery and good wire to carry the load.
Then start at battery and drop wire into lower firewall and then under carpet to back seat. then remove back seat and feed it on into trunk.
Just get it installed where it does not pinch or rub anyplace.
And then see if your alternator is big enough to carry the load.
Good luck

Re: Running wire from Battery to Amp

and if ur alternator cant handle it, thats what capacitors are for. either a .5 or 1 farad cap should do the trick, depending on how much power ur amp puts out. but i agree with mt, just push it thru the firewall and under the carpet and then feed it into the trunk. kinda a lot of work, but well worth it.

Re: Running wire from Battery to Amp

Just buy and amp wiring kit and go from there. It will come with everything you need. In the kit there is a 12v power wire with a inline fuse in it, just attach that to the battery and like someone else said run the wire through the firewall and I what I did was run the wire under the trim.

Cool Re: Running wire from Battery to Amp

Haha, Im not kidding you I did this exact thing last night... In the dark, I wont tell the story here, but I do have pictures and might creat a post about my exciting adventure on that one (involves me geting locked out, breaking a finger, adn tons of other stuff...)

Any how, on my 92 I just ran a heavy wire hooked up from my battery, up the drivers side fender (on the inside of corse) some how jammed it through to where the crease in the door is, poked a hole in that little rubber cover that holds all the wires running to the door, got it on the inside, then ran it down under the plastic by the door, all the way back to my trunk, only tools I need was a knife to cut the rubber, a ratchet for my batters, and a screw driver to put the wire on my amp... easy as slick...

Re: Running wire from Battery to Amp

I seriously hate when people run the fuckin wires through the damn fenders and the doors!! Just do it the correct way and find a hole in the damn firewall.
