1 car stolen, now what? GPS the teg?

Well I never thought it would happen to me. The F****g bastards actually stole my 94' eg hatch that i just bought 3 months ago which was all hooked up with lsvtec, rims, ect. The worst part is that I didn't have insurance on it like I do with my Integra. My apartment complex only gives me one parking space so I had to park my civic on the street because i park my integra in the port. The civic doesn't have an alarm so what i always do is just remove the ecu thinking that i'll be safe. Well not here in L.A. county (Arcadia/Pasadena) were we have professional car thiefs. They either brough with them an ecu or had the car towed away. Anyways the reason I am posting on this specific thread is because I now want to install a tracking device on my GSR. I hear that LoJack is over-rated and that I should invest in a different company that offers a GPS style tracking device. Comments, suggestions?

The Clifford matrix looks interesting. Expensive, but interesting. It looks like it’s got the best protection against thieves towing it away.

ignition kill switch, car alarm and quick release hubs are the couple of things i'm looking at with my car....none of those are particularly expensive, but when you cant start the car or steer the car, you're not going to steal the car....

Yeah, that’s the whole thing! If thieves are going to use a tow truck they avoid all the drama & just tow your ride away. That’s what all this GPS & LoJack talk is all about.

Re: 1 car stolen, now what? GPS the teg?

well i live in ND....i dont have to worry about any of this shit to start with. I'm doing this stuff just in case someone has the urge to steal my shit....i haven't ever heard of a Honda (or car for that matter) being stolen in Fargo or Grand Forks....

Do they really use flatbeds/towtrucks where you're from??

Yup, it’s lots easer to rob it with a tow truck. Who’s going to question a car getting hooked up to a tow truck, as oppose to some shady looking character poking around your driver’s side window?

You’re lucky, U live in a nice quiet place.
