oil temp sensor

Hello.
I'm looking to throw an oil temp gauge in my 98 GP GT. First question: is there a stock oil temp sensor any where that i could piggyback off of? if not, where is the best place to tap into the oil pan and what are some things i should look out for?
thanks for the help!

Re: oil temp sensor

Why an oil temp. sensor? IMO you'd be better off with a oil pressure gauge. The L36 engine has two sensors for oil. An oil level sensor on the bottom of the oil pan and oil pressure sensor located by the oil filter assembly for the idiot light on the IP cluster. It sounds like a new installation is in order. Oil pan would be the right location.
