I'm having trouble with my 1993 limited cherokee when I start it. It seems to not be getting enough gas or something and as I acceleration it almost stalls. Then If I stop wait a few seconds and then try start again it's fine. I think it might be the cable to the throttle body cable, or might be in the fuel filter. I was going to put some fuel system cleaner in, to see if it would help. Dose anyone have anything else I should try or do to help.

Re: 1993 Grand Cherokee hesitates ,stalls
I have a 1994 GC and I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter at same time...It cost me around $250...I did it myself..Got my parts at Advanced Auto..I had a heck of a time removing hoses
(especially fuel inlet hose) so I replaced them as well....This took care of most of my problem...You may also try a product called "Seafoam"..You can purchase it at auto parts stores...I did and will pour some in my Jeep tank soon to see if it makes it run even smoother....Good Luck !.....Pete

Re: 1993 Grand Cherokee hesitates ,stalls
How many miles? Which engine? How long since tune up? Fuel delivery could be the problem, but if your plugs, (cap and rotor) are in need of replacement you could get the same symptoms.

Sounds exactly like my problem as well, but we have a new fuel pump and new plugs. Any other ideas?

Re: 1993 Grand Cherokee hesitates ,stalls
i would say fuel filter, if that doesnt do it then cap and rotor, plug wires and plugs would also help.
the only other thing i can think of other than that is ignition coil |
