JDM compatibilty with USDM
hello! anyone familiar with DJM and USDM bolt differences, measurement differences, etc. ? well, i am looking at buying a JDM passenger seat form an S14. If i buy it and put it in my USDM S14, will it bolt right in, and will the belt buckle and bolt be an exact match? (do they use different buckels and bolts in the JDM model?) thanks

Re: JDM compatibilty with USDM
hmm im not sure. If the passenger and driver side bolt patters are the exact same well then sure it should fit. But remember there passenger would be our driver. So if they have a different bolt pattern from side to side then i would say no. I dont know if its possible to switch out the rails either.

Re: JDM compatibilty with USDM
I think it should line up perfectly so long as you aren't planning on using that jdm passenger seat as a passenger seat on your usdm...because the steering wheel is on the opposite side their passenger seat is our driver...which you probably already figured out since you are looking at a jdm passenger rather than the typical n00b thing which is to look for a jdm driver seat...
Anyhow, I'm nearly positive everything lines up. Even S14 seats(usdm or jdm) should fit into an s13 with little or no modification...along with s15, r32 (3 out of 4 bolts for the rails line up), r33, r34...maybe even some z cars, but I'm not sure. Again I'm not positive on measurements, but this is what I've read and seen in car mags/websites about swapping and it's fairly popular to import jdm leather s14 seats and install them into a usdm s14 with clothe seats
