"E20" Error on my CD player- 97 Grand Prix

Recently I have been getting an "E20" message when I inject a disc into my cd player (stock), and it pushes the cd out immediately.

How can I help this problem?

mine ussualy does it only on some burned cds. if it does it on every type of disc though after cleaning, the player is shot.
