what muffler comes with the borla catback?

Hey Vipey, Dont think Borla sells just the muffler.
I havent seen them anywhere, and I did look about a year ago.

Its not realy any better then any other muffler IMO.
If you do find one, it'll probly be around $200 or more

I read somewhere that flowmaster doesn't have as good of performance as others like magnaflow and borla and stuff, but I dont know how much of a difference it would make...

muffler is a muffler that muffles and tones sound
Not exactly sure how much each would give on 'gains' I read somewhere Borla gave 12hp or something screwy, but I think it just depends on size of pipe you go with... I went with 2.5" and FM80 cause I plan on headers... kinda have in mind what its gonna sound like... LOUD heheheh

flowmaster = somewhat aggressive sound (mine would be louder if there was a small resonator, or smaller pipe pushing more out, but I plan for headers)
Magnaflow = deep tone, but not the raspy aggressive tone... almost ricy
borla = kinda a mixture between both, more buying the name 'borla' than the exhaust
SLP = good buy, uses flowmaster I think, or same style... might be loudest in aggressive style or harsh tone

best buy $$$ would be flowmaster/magnaflow muffler only from like ebay for cheap and having a shop locally hook you up... make sure its a good shop, b/c that bend over the axel is a bitch... even worse case if you have a guy who doesnt know how to approach it heh

I figure once I do the exhaust, the PCM will fit in nicely

idk 6hp-ish ? .. stock headers/cat w/ 2.5" piping... but im guessing... the power band gets shifted lower, u can feel the tq gain from just driving normal.. thats the first thing I noticed

dhp pcm will take everything you have and just compliment it... its really nice

maybe if you have the flow numbers and measurments from S&S headers but doubt they'll give em to you

headers are hard to make, lots of trial and error and some math stuff

You must have heard that from a Magnablow owner
I used to have the Magnablow on the SE, it sounded to muffled and was kinda raspy like as in ricey

If you could find a shop to make headers it would cost more then S&S. Alot of hours would go into fabricating them, when the S&S are done with a machine that already knows how the bends need to be and so on and so forth.

Hey Vipey!

The flowmasters tiny compared to the stock mufflers.
I was thinking the stock mufflers are around 18-20" long.

Thats the one I have FLO-42583.

Hell cant beat that price + shipping with a stick!

I'm not in any hurry with the GT,
as everthing is in lymbo right now as far as mods go on the GA's.

Not gonna get headers right now. Just gonna get muffler and custom cat-back install from there. Then PCM after next paycheck, and rear strut bar after that. Then I will probably save up money for a new car that will actually go fast stock
