i just got a new set of speakers for my car, the kicker 05KS62 and 05KS693. was just wondering what kind of amp i would need for these, or if i can just get any ol' amp that catches my eye?

Re: amp choice?

I suggest that you find a car audio dealer that offers HIFONICS car audio. I run a Kenwood deck, a HIFONICS Brutus 1206D amp (1200 watts, depending on which ohm rating you run it at), and two 12 inch digital design subwoofers

Re: amp choice?

Kicker's run really well accompanied by a Kicker amp, just a suggestion though, I like my 2 CVRs with a zx550.2.

Re: amp choice?

most company's sub and amp usally are made for their stuff. but thing about kicker is that they DO sound best in a kicker box.

Re: amp choice?

The competition car I'm working on now (when I get off my lazy arse) will have no 2 components from the same company - not even the mids and tweets.

Re: amp choice?

Kicker might be nice but there amps cost way to much, for the price you can get profile for on ebay you can get 3 profile amps for one kicker. And i wouldnt pay retail for any audio unless you cant get it anywhere else, you will see about 25-75% price difference between an auth dealer and ebay or something similar.

For those between 50-65 AMP watts not HU watts will sound nice.

this one would be perfect and at just over $80 thats agreat price

better brand little higher in price little higher in power

http://cgi.ebay.com/AUTOTEK-SS-75-4-...QQcmdZViewItem

just an idea for cost idea heres the same ha740 its just the ca740 same amp different color case

as for kicker

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Yswat4X...20&I=206ZX3504

hardly worth it for brand

ebay prices for you

So yeah retail sucks in this industry ebay is gold when it comes to stuff you can find.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.
