1988 Ranger Horn doesn't work...
I bought a 1988 Ranger from a friend of mine. He was doing a lot of work on it before i bought it. It is missing some fuses and my horn doesn't work. All the lights and every thing works and it runs but i have no horn. The cover to the fuse panel is missing and my friend can't fond it anywhere. Does anyone have a picture of an '88 fuse panel cover or be able to rell me what to do or maybe a diagram?
Please help!

Re: 1988 Ranger Horn doesn't work...
Have you tried to see if the horn actually works? You can jump a wire to the horn leads from the battery (of course it should sound). Do you have power to the horn itself via the OEM connections? Have you also checked to see if there is power to the fuse?
Let us know.

Re: 1988 Ranger Horn doesn't work...
With a test light & power off check all fuses, the horn is powered at all times,so if you find a bad fuse(you can probe the back of both sides of the fuse with it in place)it's a 20 amp fuse that belongs in there, replace & see.The '90 Ranger uses a horn relay IF you have cruise control. The relay would be located under IP, to right of steering wheel.
