Fog Light Bulb Replacement
One of the bulbs in my 2003 LS foglight needs replacement. I took out the one screw at the front of the fog light and pushed the entire fixture out to replace the bulb. My only problem now is getting the foglight to stay in. The fog light fixture is loose with the screw in. Does GM use a adhesise to hold the fixture in the slot or did I break off something when removing the fixture.

Re: Fog Light Bulb Replacement
On one side of the fog light has the screw... On the other side, the fog light has a tab that keys into a slotted hole in the bumper... The tab on one of my fog lights broke so I held it in place with the screw and some RTV (silicon adhesive) on the other side...

Re: Fog Light Bulb Replacement
Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for. I guess I broke mine too and am currently using some fodled over duck tape and the screw. I will pick up some adhesive when I get a chance.

LOL... I had the duct tape look for awhile before I used the RTV adhesive...

Re: Fog Light Bulb Replacement
What you can do instead of the adhesive is take a short drywall screw with a washer and screw it in to the spot where the tab broke on the light. Leave about 1/2" exposed and have the washer slip behind first (like the tab did) then push in the side with the regular screw to hold the assembly in place. It works perfect and is what the re-manufacturers of lights do when the tabs are broken.
