schreechin noise

91 s10 2.5L 2wd

when i am driving at any speed there is a constant screechin noise comin from the front left wheel..althought when i apply the brakes even a little the noise stops. my tires are fairly unalligned if that has anything to do with it... the way they wear is probably wat gave that away, and the fact it drifts to the right when not holdin the wheel. anyways just wonderin if its somethin to go and get done cuz i am plannin to get rid of it.

also if u guys have any opinions on the 88-94 silverado/sierra 1500 stepside.....cuz i am super interested in buyin one of these, THEY ARE SOO SICK!!!!!!!!

Check your brakes.
The wear indicator rubs on the rotor letting you know the pads are worn.
The noise will stop when you apply the brakes.

anton!o:

Those silverado years are good trucks, but if you are thinking of buying one pay attention to rough shifts. Those trucks are rude to OD transmissions.

Test drive first. Take it across a few bumps and take note of any squeaks when it bounces. Try to find one that still has a good front steering/suspension. I say look for squeaks because when they do that they usually need front end bushings and ball joints wich costs as much as the truck to fix it usually.
