Bought a PS3 last night

Dosen't live up to the hype! I bought the 60gig for $599 with one game, Resistance: Fall of Man. Not a bad game but obviously not worth $59. I'm taking the PS3 back today. It's a pretty cool system in regaurds of the technology that it comes with.. But I doubt I'd ever partion the hard drive, run linix, use it as a computer or burn blueray's. I might buy one if they come down to $399.

I'm just too out of the video game scene now to try and get back into it... Oh well, at least I still have my dsm for fun. lol

A friend of mine spent like 4grand and bought as many ps3's as he could when they came out. Then he sold them all for 400-600 bucks more than what he bought them for when stores ran out. Needless to say he made some money. Smart IMO.

I JUST FUCKING RETURN A PS3 2 DAY AGO

. My big bro and I, we put money together and bought my lil bro a ps3 with 60gb, 599 and COD3 59.99. at the end its like 700 something, my lil want a fucking Wii. I went to best buy and return, after I return the guy in back of me, bought it

. I cant find a Wii no where, so I say fuck it I want spend money for my lil bro and now he want to be a bitch, so forget it.

The worst thing you can do right now gaming-wise is buy a PS3. I'm happy there was a lot of hype to the PS3, though. Everyone who tried making money off of the system got ripped off hard in my city. Buying it for $700 and shit.. and then selling for $500 because people do realise that the system might be limited for the time being, but not forever. I'll admit, I'm a huge Sony fan, I feel more comfortable buying their products. Hell, I've had my PS2 since I was in grade 7 or 8 and it still runs like a charm.

I'm just waiting for complaints about the system's functionality, but so far, I haven't heard of anything too bad. The PS3 doesn't suck, the price does, and the games currently blow. When they get Armored Core, Dark Cloud, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo 5.... I'll be all over it. The price should be down by then as well. As for now, I'm very content with my PS2. Pawn shops are selling them for $60 at the moment.

My brother got it the 1st day it came out and he has allready sold it, its junk!!! its finally catching up to the 1st x box. It is no comparison to the x box 360.

It is also the 1st game system ever to get a virus lol

Agreed...they are comeing out with "gran turismo hd" on jan 1st which is basically like a high def. gran turismo 4 and also has way more cars. I also think rainbow six:vegas looks pretty sweet.

HA!!! vegas is amazing on 360, I am not here to argue with anyone here because everyone has thereown oppinion, i just know from what i have seen of that system.

Grand Turismo HD Demo came out today. I downloaded it, and played it for about an hour and a half. It's nothing extreamly special. They added Drifting. I'm Downloading NBA7 right now. I'm going to wait a couple days before returning it. I wouldn't mind keeping it. But I don't even have an HDTV, so, even if I exploited the BlueRay compression error Sony F*cked up on, I still couldn't really do anything cool.. I could partition a dual boot to Linux and play all my computer games on the PS3 with the controlers. Which I might do before Formating the HD and returning it..

Games to suck huge right now for this thing..

I havent seen a PS3 in person yet but from what I have seen I am not impressed...the 360 on the other hand is amazing...Gears of war is freakin SICK...I am addicted to that game right now...but I am sure that PS3 will be bad ass as soon as the developers get the new technology down. Right now I think they are having a really hard time using all of the hardware available to them on the ps3...

I've played the ps3 and wasn't terribly impressed. I own a ps2 but I can't see upgrading..

Mind you im a sega fan boy (die hard sonic fan) and I still bought a Nintendo wii over the ps3. Mind you wii + case of beer/bottle of Smirnoff + 3 friends = tons of fun!

I recommend the wii. And orange Gatorade to chase the Smirnoff watermelon
