Question Brake and ABS lights on

Hi:
My brake and ABS lights are on, I had replaced both F&R brake pads and check fluid but they're still on. Would someone have an idea what is going on? Thxs!

Re: Brake and ABS lights on

some escapes had pad wear sensor - if these ground out they will set both lights. also have seen brake fluid come out of the top of the resivoir when the calipers are pushed back and get in the plug for the level sensor tripping the light. the ohter thing is the e-brake not fully releasing if you pulled it after the brake job.

Re: Brake and ABS lights on

Hi guys, I've been out for a while. No, my ABS and brake lights still on! I went to a mechanic and he recommended to change master cylinder, spent $80 and problem remains.
I heard about abs connector issue, I am going to the dealer to see if this is the true reason. I'll keep u posted. Thanks.

There is a recall on Escapes for a faulty ABS problem which causes the brake light to go on. Call Ford; I had mine fixed today.

Yes! There is a new recall on Escape for ABS issues. Also have someone inspect the ABS tone rings on the front axles.
