Question Motor Swap

Ok so i am kind of a newbie, this a new sn but i have been on this site for a while (formerly civicblumagik021). Since my first car the 93 civic ex automatic i have had a 98 Talon awd Turbo 5spd, a 90 integra ls 5spd, a 93 accord lx 5spd, and now my 92 civic cx hatch. And the d series motor is not doing anything for me. So i was wondering if u guys could recommend a really good swap for my price range, my max is 2k so can u guys let me know what u think? thanks.

Re: Motor Swap

B18c1 would fit with stock mounts.

Re: Motor Swap

For that price you'll have to shop around for a used (and probably usdm) engine. You should look at the B16a or B18b.

Re: Motor Swap

B18B ftw in that price range. You should be able to get a full swap, exhaust and an intake for under $2k. And the stock mounts won't work, if it is a B-series, then you need the B-series mounts.

This is your guy right here. I know you said 2K max but it is pretty close. Maybe just save for a little bit longer. And for the $300 might as well do the optional LSD. This is the complete changeover.
170Hp 113Trq 10.4 Compression (JDM)
160Hp 111Trq 10.2 Compression (USDM)

This would be the same engine as the Civic Si, incase you didnt know.
