Exclamation Transmission Vibrate??

Hello everyone. Merry christmas. I just bought an 04 Grand Prix GT about two weeks ago. I love this car but soon after I had started driving it, I noticed like a shutter or (vibrating) when the car shifts into 2nd gear. Anything to be concerned about? IT has 21,000 Miles on it and has warranty up untill 39,000.

Anything would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Transmission Vibrate??

Welcome to AF. Pretty general question, impossible to suggest anything specific, if you feel it is abnormal take it back and drive with a tech and show him your concerns, doesn't sound normal.

Re: Transmission Vibrate??

Take it to the dealer asap. My white '04 GT's tranny shifts smoothly. I drive it 245 miles a day back and forth to work. I bought it in March 2005 with 28K and it has 132K now. Only problems I've had with it was the horn was inoperable at 30K, and the intermediate drive shaft was replaced after I felt a "clicking" in the steering wheel (35K) when ever I turned in either direction. All were of course under warranty. The car has been good to me. My GP is getting consistently 29-30 mpg depending on how fast I drive to work on highway 101 on the central coast of California.
