I'm currently working on a cart fed-ex champ car,I tried to put the rim in the tire but it wouldent go in,so i took a pen and pressed on the center of the rim while the rim was on top of the tire, and the rim broke,so,confused and not knowing how to put the 3 other unbroken rims in,i kinda made a risky move,i microwaved one of the tires for 15 seconds(
)and the rim just slipped right in with no hassle,i did the same with the restThe broken rim?good that revell can send you replacment parts if you break something, cost me 3 dollars total but hey, can't finish a car without a rim:smoker: |

They might if you call and request it,or email them on thier site or something, are fujimi kits even good? The thing that really gets me bummed is that they don't have engines, for me it's no-engine,no-build

Microwave...bit risky could've exploded if there was any air bubbles in the moulding!!
You could of just dropped them in some hot water to expand them just enough to slip over the rim!

I've almost broken a wheel just the way you described. Last night, had my second broken wheel on Corvette. I scrapped the whole project. I need to take a break from Revell kits. They require too much patience.
I came back from a trip to Cali. Enjoyed some intensive driving on Pacific Coast Highway and on Big Bear Mountain. No drifting tho~ :smoker2:

I've used a hairdryer on high heat to soften u the tires from my revell champ cars or any vinyl tire for that matter. I think the heat generated by a microwave may be too intense and may distort the vinyl too much. Try a hairdryer next time, but don't hold it in your hand while doing so. place on the counter top or something that won't be affected by heat.

I think you should really be using a hairdryer
Id hate to clean the mess up in the microwave if it "got-away" on you and you left it in there to long
