Hasport sells a kit to do it, but it's not a simple bolt in thing.
Here's a link to the mount he'd need: http://hasport.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=95
And here's a link to the entire mount kit (includes the drivers side and rear mount as well): http://hasport.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=33

It's not worth the money or trouble, especially NOT for a cable LS tranny. I'd say it MIGHT be worth it if he was using a JDM YS1 w/ LSD, which has nearly identical gear ratios as the JDM ITR tranny, but not for an LS tranny. LS trannies are garbage for anything but boost. And even in that case, he'd be better off getting a newer LS tranny for the lower mileage.

There is one advantage to the cable tranny however, the fact that it's cable. The driver has more of a firm peddle, more control, and it's a simpler system (less shit to go wrong).

be better off swapping the cable tranny for a hydro, or just getting a diff motor
