Progress pics of my first model (R32 GTR)

Well here's a couple of progress pics of my first ever model. The Tamiya R32 GTR with full engine detail (and try to be nice I'm only a newbie modeller! ) Still got a long way to go but at least it's starting to resemble a car now!

That looks very nice compared to my models. I just started on model cars too. Ive built three so far: Revell ITR, revell dodge viper gts and a revell 64 impala 2n1. Ive been looking for a tamiya skyline but havnt found one here in alaska. Good luck on your model

Good spotting. I swapped my R32 wheels with Moondog's R33 wheels.

I've started to paint the body, but it needs another few coats before the colour will look any good. It should like a really nice blue when it's finished (well hopefully anyway )

You need to get some colour into that engine... apart from that it looks to be coming together just fine. Go girl!

There is some colour in there, it's just really hard to see because of the flash of the camera. I did the colours exactly how the instructions said. There's greys and silvers and reds in there, they just didn't come out too well. I'll try to take some more in natural light at some point.

and thanks for the comments.

160NZ$ thats about £50 ish, you only got 2 kits?
I bought 2 kits (Tamiya Efini RX-7, Italeri Volvo FH-16 Box Wagon-yeah I know it's a lorry), 10 pots Tamiya paint and a couple of packs of Evergreen styrene sheet actual cost £54.98!!
Is stuff expensive in NZ then?
