2000 Bravada - Airbag Light On

I just noticed that my airbag light came on and at the same time, my radio controls on the steerling wheel also doesn't work.

Does anyone think these problems might be related to each other? Is there a coil or something in the steerling wheel that I can replace?

They may well be related, but only a scan with an SIRS capable scanner will point to the problem, it is not recommended that a non professional attempt to repair air bag systems.

We don't need that thing blowing up in your face Brian, find a shop that says they can scan it and have had experience with airbags.

It's probably a bad ground. the steering wheel radio controls and the air bag share a common ground but have different supplies. If you're not comfortable with automotive electrical trouble shooting (and some of the worst schematics I've ever seen) take it to a shop. Look for one in the yellow pages under "Automotive repair, electrical"
