Ref. Book [Hyper Rev Tuning and Dress Up Guide]

Now that it's mentioned in Z33 thread, I'm posting some pictures of Hyper Rev Tuning and Dress up Guide, so that you can see what you expect from this wonderful series of reference books on Japanese cars. I picked S2000 as an example, but virtually any Japanese sports cars and SUVs are covered.

The Cover

Featured Tuned cars, and usually each issue has a dozen or more.

Some technical articles, and the S2000 issue has a disassembled F20 engine.

Color parts catalogue covers engine, suspension, interior, aero parts, seats, wheels etc.

Each issue is about 2000 yen.
It's got lots of color pictures, so I think it's worth it.

How many pages? Who's the publisher? Any hope of getting on in the US? Are they specifically for modeling, or general interest?

About 200 pages, and almost half is color and half is black&white. But B/W page won't disappoint you either, for example...

This is a general car book, and each is dedicated to one particular vehicle, and Vol. II, Vol. III are available for popular cars, such as Slyline or RX-7.

Almost all of them are still in print, so it takes some time, but you should be able to order it from Kinokuniya or Asahiya. (or from me, if you have a Paypal account.)

Can you get these from Hong Kong? The G-friend is off there for a couple of weeks, might get her to include one of these in my shopping list for her.

Yeah, there are lots in Hk, go to any big book stores that sells Japan imported magazines and books~ She can also pick you up some cheap model kits while she's there too! As low as $50 HKD, that's only 4 pound! OMG!

New stuff cost more. Well, for example, my friend brought a Fujimi AE86 model for $45 HKD

Hyper Rev is the bomb. Unfortunately I only seen one down here and it was quite expensive. I regret not buying some of them when I was in Japan. Talk about idiot.

Yes, but no all of them. MR-S issue has ARTA GT300 in two pages. Pictures are small, but it's a good reference. Supra Vol. 3 has the Super JZA80 Bonneville, and JGTC 2001. And the back issue page says Silvia Vol.4 has JGTC C-West Silvia.
