2002 Sonoma Theftlock feature
I replaced the battery in my Sonoma earlier today and when I connected my new battery, sat inside the truch an LOC indicator popped up on my radio panel. I looked inside the owners manual and saw that a "secret code" had to be typed into the radio before the radio would unlock. You have 8 attempts of either 2 or 3 digit numbers before it goes into INOP. Can anyone help me with this problem? I do not have a clue on how to get my radio unlocked. Please some help! Your time is appreciated in advance.
P.S. The truck was purchased used from an individual approx. 1 year ago. I have no contact information with this person. What can I do?

Re: 2002 Sonoma Theftlock feature
this was from a previous post in 2005, don't know if it is still valid, but it may still work.
I don't know if this still is valid, but it worked for me last time i tried press the 2 & 3 numbers at the same time for about 10 seconds; a 2 or 3 digit code will come up; press the am/fm button for about 10 seconds; another code will appear; dial 1-800-537-5140 and enter 201208 (dealer code) followed by the # sign; enter the 4 or 6 digit code from your radio followed by an *; the automated setup will give you a 3 or 4 digit override code; enter this code into your radio just as your owners manual tells you to |
