Jetta VS GS-T

So I was driving to my house after my g/f had been driving with me a bit. (which she is actually really good at it) I ran into a black eclipse GS-T at a red light. He revved at me making his car go *pshh* I did the same and he looked at me like Like what was I thinking. I rev again at him to show him im game. Light goes green and I had to the launch easy cause my tires are bald. So playing a little catch up he had about a car head start. I count to 3 and short shift it to 2nd. I then slam the pedal down which kicks my boost to 18 (since 2nd is the only gear where I can overboost without going into limp mode.) and pushes the car closing the gap to 1/2 a car. the boost settled down to 15 pounds and then to 14 as i reach redline and inch past his right side door. I shift to 3rd and my boost kicks back up to 16 pounds and I'm pacing him now, going 75+ and climbing when I look at him and wave as I begin to reach redline again and shift to 4th pulling away from him pretty hard (my car has pretty decent top end, 3.93 gear ratio and i can get to 140 by the end of 4th) I shut down at about 120 as I had close to 2 cars on him. I waited for him at the next light to see if he wanted to go again but he said he didnt think i could do that cause he said i looked stock, I told him he shouldnt under estimate people cause then he wouldnt be so suprised. He left and so did I.

Re: Jetta VS GS-T

Good kill. The first gen Eclipses are the ones to watch out for IMHO. The second gens had a tiny turbo on them. I'm not surprised by the outcome.

Re: Jetta VS GS-T

^^^^speaking of first gens....damn im jealous of my boys...he runs a consistant 12.3 @ 114 with some mickey mouse mods....his car total plus mods is probably worth maybe $4000 at the most.....but he goes through parts like underwear...talk about cheap mod friendly car IMO the 4g63 DSM first gen is the king of that....

Re: Jetta VS GS-T

I dont know what is up with all these GS-t's coming up, they seemed to have crawled out of a hole after being locked up ever since the first f&f came out, I ran into another one yestaurday, I won but this one was faster than the one I made the post about. This one had a CAI from what I could tell, I won by about a car and a half.
