I guess that's what I can call it. It's the thing under the name, what does all of it mean and how is it changed. Igor, could you change mine I don't particularly want a V-6 but more like a TT Flat 6.

Maybe after a certain number of post you could get "points" with these points you could go to the "Auto Enthusiasts Store" and buy imaginary stuff for your car The imaginary stuff could be posted to the left of your screen anem in the messege forum. Whoever has the most after market stuff is the King of Posting this idea needs some refining but u said u wanted something different

But that will take some time......
So I want to hear good names for number of posts at this point.... anyone have any good names we could use?

AF Newbie - 0
AF Member - 15
AF Enthusiast - 40
AF Fanatic - 70

that's why I want to hear you guys' opinions.
Nothing fancy though.... I just need to time to incorporate Azzkikr's idea... for now we just need good word ranks.

Those numbers are awefully low. I had something like 2500 posts at the carforums site, and others had over well over 4000...

Remember, AF is still only 2 and a half months old. And there aren't those kinds of numbers yet. I will adjust the numbers as we grow.
Do you have any ranks to add to the system we have right now? Anyone that has any good names shoot

The thing with the engines were that they were just to wierd. I liked it at CF with the stars. My suggestion would be to have high next levels like it was said. It should go something like this:

50= 1 star (Or some sort of symbol)
100= 2
250= 3
500= 4
1000= 5
2000= 6 and so on after that

I know these seem high right now but it would save you time in the long run instead of changing it. As for names I don't really know, maybe use a variant of what is on there currently, something with more distinction than that of the last.

Actually, I'm sure I've seen some people with personalized ranks.

I like Porsche's star idea as well. It should be added to the member status box, not replace the text titles. Just make sure you don't use ugly stars like the ones at the supercars.net forums.

I don't think that it matters at all of how many posts you have just what the quality of the posts are, My post counts are not that high yet I still seem to have some good replys. Atleast I think so.

I was wondering what ever happened to these ideas. I know the stars showed up (and pretty much stop after 8 of them ) but were were the captions under our names going to open up? It'd be nice to tweak those a bit similiar to what mods can do.

Not that its all that important but I thought it could be another of those nice little features we've been getting the last month or so.

There's already ample room to customise your presence on AF.You have an avatar,you have a sig,you have a profile....why spoil it by ricing it out with a custom user title as well?
