Re: back door removal

Gotta love that rust and paint. You can remove the plastic trim cap on the outside of the hinge, add some penetrating oil to the two holes, and see if there is a lock pin or set screw inside.

Re: back door removal

try using a heat gun to expand the hinge. it might take a couple of heating and cooling cycles to break it loose.

Re: back door removal

Me and Billybob here we just done that the otherday. We backed up to a big ole tree in the yurd, got us a chain and we just put it arond the tree and the dour.Gave her sum gas and off she came, lots of room for the boat now.
Anyways,I had 2, the pins are a bisch coming out.If you have some time and some torches of some kind, you can build yourself a heat/shield to keep the flame off the body and just warm up the pin to drive it out.If you go with the shield/torch route the best way is to heat the hinge(not the pin) and then INSTANTLY shock it with a bucket of cold water.Quick shot with the hammer amd punch and out it should come.
