86 accord salvage price?

I have an 86 Accord which sadly is very dead I'd like to sell it for salvage.

Anyone know what is a reasonable price to negotiate toward, or how much salvage cars typically go for? (I'm in the Atlanta area if that makes a difference.)

Re: 86 accord salvage price?

um, I wouldn't expect more than a few hundred at best. I don't think I'd pay more htan a few hundred for a working 86 Accord, no offense. I mean I could pick up an early 90s Accord around here for 500-1500.

You could try www.kbb.com (although I'm not sure they deal with salvage prices) Have you just given up on fixing the car, or did it get into an accident or what?

Re: 86 accord salvage price?

Well there are several problems with it that, while fixable, would collectively cost way more than the car is worth...(carburetor's messed up, gas tank is rusting out, etc.)

Yeah I was thinking I'd be doing good to get $150 for it. Thanks for the reply.

Re: 86 accord salvage price?

Same thing happened with my 90 accord. More things needed to be fixed than i collectively wanted to spend. It had just reached the point where I no longer wanted to put money into it. But a few people gave me offers simply because it was a cheap beater in their eyes. When you are talking about the cost of replacing...have you considered parts from a junkyard or new parts from teh dealer?
