Ford Focus RS WRC (Performance Blue)

Well, since people were taking potshots at my modeling skills, saying I needed to work on the basics some more, I decided to start another model to be spiteful and to show them that maybe they shouldn't judge a modeler by one kit. So I present you with the Ford Focus in Performance Blue, to be made with the #6 markings raced by M. Martin in the Rallye Deutschland. I'll take natural light pictures tomorrow, because artificial light doesn't do the depth of this paint justice.







This car is being built to replace the first car I ever built, of the same, that was damaged in transit to college.

This is an unfortunate aspect of this kit, they include the decals for Rally Deutschland but the kit is far from representative of the car which was raced.

Thanks man. Actually, those are the family's Hanukkah menorahs... I was decaling on the kitchen table (where we had dinner, meatloaf, hence the BBQ sauce) and the candles were still burning.

Well, this will be my last update until about the 28th, as I'm currently on vacation in Orlando with my family. However, I managed to snap some pictures of my progress before I left! So here goes.

Looking good. Are you going to add some detail to the interior or will you just go with oob?

I'm going straight out of box. I have a CLK DTM and a Carerra GT that have PE and CF, and this is gonna be a nice, relaxing build. A lot of the time, I notice that the cars on here aren't OOB, that they have new wheels or seats or PE or CF, and I wanna build a car straight up that will blow people away.
