Right side turn signals quit working

Well the 1st problem has come up on my 2004 3400 MC. Today the right turn signal would work part time and finally quit working all together front and rear.
I checked both bulbs, good. Brake light still works, running light works, hazard lights work, left side turn signals work. Just right turn signal dont.

Any ideas where the loose connection could be?

Did you check the fuses?

Re: Right side turn signals quit working

One fuse for both sides and the left turns work fine. So I assuming the one fuse for turn signals I looked at was good order. Is there 2 fuses? one for each side?

Do these cars come with dual flashers? instead of just one.

Re: Right side turn signals quit working

Did you determine the bulbs were good with a visual inspection, or did you swap positions with a known good bulb? These bulbs can appear to be good visually, but have a fine break in the filament. Both sides use the same flasher and fuse and the hazard flashers use the same flasher as well. Normally, a bad bulb will cause the offending side to blink rapidly, not stop blinking. These cars are known for turn/signal/multifunction switch issues, so if all other positions blink, and the right side blinks when the hazards are on, I think the switch is your problem.

Re: Right side turn signals quit working

Bulbs are good. switched them out to my truck to test. all worked.
So is the turn signal switch you are talking about in the steering wheel? can it be replaced by joe smoo like me. or a dealer thing?

Tested Hazards and all 4 lights blinked on/off. All bulbs and lights work when used, but right turn signal doesnt when used.

Here is a link to Delco's picture of the switch.

It can be replaced without removing the airbag/steering wheel. The column cover comes off with 3 or 4 screws from the bottom side exposing the switch, but you'll need to remove the air bag fuse for safety and turn the steering wheel to gain access to one of the screws.
