motor swap

I have a 88 firebird tbi swaped the 305 with a 350. deleted the egr and evap system. starts and runs but craps out around 2g's. cant find the problem. any help?

Which knock sensor are using? Also, I think you need to swap the PROM chip for a 350 too?

If you're still using the computer it has to be updated. It still thinks you have the stock motor in there so it's freaking out. Been there. Not fun.

im using the knock sensor that came off of the 305. yes the stock computer is in use. so in order to get this beast to quit pooring fuel im going to have to have a new chip burnt?

You need the 350 knock sensor and PROM.

would i nedd the one off of thetpi or just a fuel injected 350? If i had a chip burned would it be the same thing?

Ok guys put the new 400 dollar little chip in and all was well until i put the exhaust on...its surging like a vaccum leak but no leaks i have used several cans of brake clean. But when i unplug the computer timing wire it quits freaking out and runs fine. No check engine lites either. any ideas?

Did you have to reroute the O2 sensor? Make sure the sire didn't get burnt and is fully connected.
