03 Cd jammed in cd player, won't come out.

Hello,

I have a 2003 Silhouette and just the other day I hit the eject button so I could remove tthe cd and it didn't do anything. I couldn't get the cd player to come on although the radio was working fine then suddenly it started making a jamming noise as if the cd was stuck and ever since it won't come on. I get nothing when I hit the cd button and the eject button.

Is their a way to reset the CD player so I can get the cd out. Can I install a new CD/ radio and still have the steering wheel buttons work.

Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Re: 03 Cd jammed in cd player, won't come out.

Didnt know if you solved this yet, but try disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes. Might reset the radio and spit out the CD.
Otherwise the CD player will have to come apart to retrieve the CD.

If you replace the radio/cd palyer I am pretty sure you can buy a harness that allows you to use your steering wheel comtrols. The stealership has them and so does most audio outlets.
Not cheap, though I am not certain what exactly they cost for your Silhouette.

And Welcome to AF !
