92 rear seat belt
somehow the rear seat belt has pulled to the limit and won't retract. the shoulder strap still works fine but, the lap strap won't retract (no slack to work with either).
Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem? |

Ah, I see I'm not the only one to have this problem.
![]() When this happens, or when your careless backseat riders decide to practice stupidity and jam the seatbelt out, you just have to roll up your sleeve and shove your hand down the seatbelt pullout in the seat bottom (where the lap belt comes out of) For whatever reason it likes to snag, but if you reach in and tweak it some, it will untwist off of the part that snags it. Just work at it and it'll come. Just watch youself, the metal tidbits down there sliced my finger up nicely when I got frustrated and decided to just yank the sucker out.....it worked, but it got it's revenge lol Good Luck, --VrmlBasic (Proud 1992 Green LeSabre Owner) |
