I need help installing a remote starter
I just got a remote starter and I'm having trouble getting to the ignition wire harness. Does anyone know the easiest way to get the ignition wires out so I would be able to easily connect the starter?

Re: I need help installing a remote starter
I have never heard if the EASY way. Nothing to do with a remote starter is easy. You have to split the harness at the bottom of the column, pull em ,out and your off to the races. You have a wiring diagram right?

Re: I need help installing a remote starter
twistedtech, there isn't any ignition wires at the column. They are off the right side of the dash. Take the knee knocker off and you'll see a thick, taped harness comming from the ignition switch. There is where you'll get your wires.
Be carefull on how you bypass the passloc system. It can be tricky for the first timer and it won't start if you have the key in the ignition. Just having the key in there won't make it send out the proper code. The code is sent when you turn the key. Be extremely carefull on the parking lights!!!! Doing those incorrectly spells an expensive repair bill.
