Downloading manuals?........

I was downloading a factory service manual for my KTM 450SX today, and I got to wondering....hmmmm

Is it possible to find any GM service manuals for download?
I have the Haynes manual, which gives you a good idea of what to do, but for more complicated repairs, I'd love to have the factory service manual handy.

I know in this day and age, you can pretty much find anything online, and when I say anything, I mean ANYTHING!! (like left handed transexual midget porn... not that I'm into that...but I'm sure you could find a website for it)

Just curious if anybody knows if these manuals can be had online.

Re: Downloading manuals?........

I was sure that was the case, but realistically....this is the internet. There are any number of shady people out there who may have posted the manual online regardless of the general's warning.

I was able to find the Suzuki Hayabusa service manual for my buddy under the exact same circumstances.

This was more of a "You never know until you ask" kinda post........

None of us with legitimate access to these databases are going to post them, it's not worth losing the job over.

You can buy them through a GM dealer or a firm like ALLDATA.

Re: Downloading manuals?........

I've never looked before, but I would be willing to bet that it could be found on one of the bittorrent clients or massive file sharing services if you looked long enough. Just gotta be persistent and quite lucky. Then again, you could buy one much easier.
