My car idles at 2000 rpm when first started
ive been noticing that my car's idle goes to 2000 rpm every morning but then it goes down after like 2 minutes of leaving it running. i check all the vacuum hoses and they're all fine. it only really does it when its cold but it idles fine after its been warmed up. i think my temp sensor on the head might of gone bad. any ideas of what it might be?

Re: My car idles at 2000 rpm when first started
this is normal in cold weather. once your car warms up, the idle should drop to about 1000 rpm. i dont usually drive it when its this cold because my car tends to bog out when i make corners if my rpms get lower than 1500.
anyways... this is completly normal in the cold weather. the car will rev higher to get hotter faster. you shouldnt worry about it. it wont do this in warm weather.
