Driver Sideview mirror

My driver sideview mirror was hit overnight. The glass and part of the plastic shell were broke but the motor still works. I'm tryign to avoid going to the dealer and seeing if i can do this myself. Can anyone help me with a parts number? Also is this an easy part to replace?

Thanks

Re: Driver Sideview mirror

There are sideview mirrors on eBay all the time, I'd just pick up one out there if the color happens to match. Your local wreck yard may be a good alternative as well. Changing the mirror assembly is a pretty straight forward job. I never had to change mine in the Intrigue but I did change one in my Ford Contour. All I had to do was to remove the interior door panel and three screws. The Intrigue shouldn't be much more complicated than that.

I have a Chilton service manual CD at home and I'll look it up tonight to see if it covers the mirror removal/installation.

Re: Driver Sideview mirror

Thanks Panzer. Now I have to figure out how to install the mirror once i get it. I have small speakers on the inside of the door where it looks like the screws are to disconnect the mirror. Any idea on how to remove the speaker to access the screws?

Re: Driver Sideview mirror

I checked E-Bay this morning and found three driver side mirror's (gray). Not a bad deal at $29.95 and $13.95 for shipping. Cheaper than buying new.

Thanks Again.
