anyone familiar with seats and safety?
i have a 95 240sx, and at this time, i dont have a drivers seat anymore. I would like to know if anyone familiar with the engineering safety aspect of the car if it would be ok so swap in a seat from a previous generation 240sx and use it while i search for a 95 240sx seat.
i am pretty sure it bolts in from reading other forums, but will hte safety dynamics change? anyone know if i can use the same seat belt, buckle, safety, etc. thanks Last edited by crusader33x; 12-17-2006 at 06:41 PM. |

Re: anyone familiar with seats and safety?
the exact details of your question: model specific, I can't answer, but a generic answer, the seat isn't all that important. All it has to do is stay in place in an accident, so make sure its well secured. The seat belts should be at the same location regardless of which seat you have in there.

Re: anyone familiar with seats and safety?
thanks for some re-assurance, my main concerns are since safety is a major issue in a car's design, i havent done enough research therefore i do not want to alter the seat and seat belt placement and design geomtery and screw anything up!

Re: anyone familiar with seats and safety?
Yes, swapping them will be fine. Just stay away from cheep aftermarket racing seats.
