2000 Yukon 5.3 surge

Engine surges at a stop sign or when Idling. I am unsure as to what to check first. Anyone have a similar problem or any Ideas of what it may be??

Many possibilities here, stuck egr valve, misfire, low fuel pressure, dirty maf, vacuum leak, too general a question with no preliminary diagnostics done.

Fuel pressure good and no engine light. Also if I allow it to idle at about 10 mph it becomes most prominent and the light surge with it as well. I unplugged the IAC and the EGR and no change in the problem.

Unplugging the egr means nothing if it is carboned up, still sticks open, also try cleaning the MAF, be careful and use specific CRC maf cleaner or electrical parts cleaner.
