Hi,
I am working on a 94 toyota pu which I have up on stands. I have discovered that the frame is full of dirt! I have tried to scrap it out with the limited access , and am having fits trying to get it out. I have used a shop vac with a smaller hose adapted to fit what access i have, and there has to be a way to get this stuff out in a easier way! Pressure washing has been thought of , but since it is up w/engine out I can,t do it! Sounds really dumb, but I am working the underbody now and would like to get at it while it is up. Any suggestios to expedite this problem? cavf150

Re: inner frame dirt
yeah, pretty much your only real way of getting past this is with the powerwasher. Maybe, depending on how long the dirt has been there just compressed air, but even then i doubt that.

Re: inner frame dirt
You have discovered a Toyota frame's worst enemy.
That dirt hold moisture that causes the frame to rust from the inside out, and frame rust is a Toyota trucks worst enemy. I use compressed air with a long, thin nozzle that angles. Stick it in the frame hole nearest the front and work your way rear using all the access holes in the frame. You'll end up with a big pile of dirt, rust, pebbles, bees nests, mouse nests, etc. Do it several times each side and you have a good start.
