low end upgrades

Hey guys, I'm kinda new here. I have an '02 2.2 non-ecotec sedan. I've done some very minor upgrades. K&N filter, Polk 6x9's, and a Magnaflow muffler. Wondering how you guys think I should spend the 200 bucks I have left over. Here are some pics of my car. Thanks for any input.

Re: low end upgrades

performance would be the way to go, maybe u can do the simplest upgrade and most common of them all...an air intake.

EDIT: or is that wut u have the K&N filter on is an intake?

Re: low end upgrades

Here are some ideas....

*Remove the chevy emblems and bowties from the hood and trunk - $free

*Remove the side strikes on the doors - $free

*Just get some Goo Gone or "Oops" from your local auto store for like $5

*Remove the rubber covers on your heat/ac knobs if you want them to be clear - $free

*Polyurethane motor mounts, top & bottom $65 http://www.carcustoms.net/product_in...756d941bbcf3a0

*Some strut bars, I bought the combo front and rear from Turbo tech racing here http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...idproduct=2714 for $120 but you could try out the ebay ones for like $50

*If you have a manual trans. you could get the polyurethane transmission mounts for around $50
http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...idproduct=1274

*Or like stated before you could get a short shifter, they range from $80 to $150+

*If you have an auto trans. get the B&M shift plus plug n' play mod for $45
http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...idproduct=1136

*A grounding kit of any kind will keep your electrical system tight, you wont have dimming lights and your sound system will be top notch, any grounding kit should do the trick, they're all universal for like $25-$30
http://motors.search.ebay.com/ground...R8QQsacatZ6000

Hope this gave you some more ideas.

Re: low end upgrades

Yeah man, it should. It says it fits all automatic electronic trannys only. Doesn't specify 3 or 4 speed so im assuming both.

Re: low end upgrades

ya, its for 4 speed auto trannys only. looks like u found it tho. i knew this cuz i ordered one myself and on the jbody site, this this long forum on it. so of course i read the whole thing. lol. theres possitives and negitives about it. i hear its alot funner to drive and one guy said it shaved .4 seconds off his quarter mile time. another possitive i guess u could say is that ppl say their tires chirp going into 2nd w/ it. so if thats a possitive to u, then so be it. theres one big negitive about it tho. alot of ppl said it makes the check engine light come on and stay on. which can be bad news...

Re: low end upgrades

The check engine light only comes on if you screw up the installation. Also there is more positives to shift+ then negatives.

Re: low end upgrades

WOW...a lot of replies! Thanks guys. About 15 minutes after i took those pics i took the Chevy emblams off lol. I have an auto trans. Whats up with the B&M thing? I heard it makes it shift "harder". Is that a good thing? I dont want to damage my car in any way.
