2002 Venture Traction Control

I have a 2002 Chevy Venture with 81,000 miles on it. The traction control light/ABS is on and I can hear humming in the front of the car while I drive it. The "Trac Off" Light is on as well. I can not find a manual for this car anywhere and I am not sure how to repair this. I have tried to locate a new wheel sensor and have not found this as well. The Auto parts stores cant even order it for my year. I appreciate any feedback on this.

The speed sensor is part of the wheel bearing and is sold as a unit. It's a bolt in deal so if you have the tools and the hands you might just pull it off yourself.Better do some reading.

The indicator lights can also be caused by the wiring harness failing. The humm you mentioned does indicated the hub/bearing, but you never know.

Same problem I had a few years back. The warning lights came on mainly in the winter when it was extremely cold (ex. sitting outside all night.) Once driven for about 10 to 15 miles the lights went off, and the little traction on light came back on. problem disappeared when the rear "boards" were replaced. Manuals for these vehicles abound all over the internet, Some places to check are eBay, Amazon.com, powells.com, www.car-stuff.com, or www.themotorbookstore.com . I've bought repapir manuals off the internet, including factory manuals that the dealership's service departments use. If you are looking for a Chilton, or Haynes manual, if possible, don't pay full retail price ($21.95 and up). I've seen them as low as $5.00 on sites such as amazon.com and half.com .

Re: 2002 Venture Traction Control

I appreciate all the info here and I found the manual on it. I live in Fl so no cold weather problem here. I know its the speed sensor hub now. Any good recommendations on who or where the best place is to purchase this hub from? Thanks again.
