WIP: 1970 Plymouth Superbird

Hey guys,
Its the Revell Petty's Superbird kit. I decided to go with a non-stock color.
Duplicolor Orange Mist with a black vinyl top. I am toying with the idea of blacked out wheels but not sure how it wil look.
Thanks for looking.

Nice work Dave! looks like a nice clean paint job. Gonna polish it out? BTW, did you find some spark plug wiring? Email me your home address and I'll send you some!

Looking good so far, I'm interested in seeing how you deal with the roof. Looking forward to more on this project.

Re: WIP: 1970 Plymouth Superbird

Ughhhh.....I was giving it light color sand made a few light spots, I will have to respray it tomarrow and go from there. I was planning on getting the decals on then giving it a coat of clear, then i could tackle the roof. It will have to wait a few days. I am trying to get this done for Christmas so I will have to work right along. I'll keep the pics coming!

Repainted and polished for the most part.....I still need to rub on a couple areas but I am pleased.

The color changes in every light it seams.

if you can adjust the settings on your camera there should be a little flower looking thing on the dial, use that for up close shots.

I am.....I think they call it the Macro setting.
Works good but if you take a shot like this it can't focus from the part closest to you and the back of the obect you are trying to shoot
