question of the wiring sorts again

ok i been having a lot of problems with my wiring in my honda. thought it was the ecu, and it did take care of a few things when i got a new one, but it also gave me a few more. well for starters when i press the brake pedal and the rear lights dont come on but the door ajar light comes on when i press the pedal. the new ecu took care of the map sensor issue i was having but now im throwing a code 4 for crank position sensor but i dont think i touched the wiring for that. only the shit on the C clip was messed with at the ecu. any ideas getting ready to just put the thing in storage untill the spring and forget about the honda for a bit, but i would really like to drive her a bit more this year. probly getting sick of me asking but i just dont know anymore. also is the wiring for the 89 civc the same coming off the ecu as the 90 dx of course. i been using the wire chart off of http://www.50mod.com/fourthgenhatch/mpfi.html and was wondering if it was the same between the years. thanks

Yes, it's the same.
As for the wiring issue your having, it's apparent that you have a short somewhere. Do this: remove all of your fuses under the dash. Put one fuse in at a time, then hit the breaks to see if the door ajar light comes on. If, when you insert a fuse and press the brakes the door ajar light comes on, you've now found what circuit in the car is shorted out. Then, you can troubleshoot that particular circuit.
As for the code 4...does your car still run ok though? If you are really experiencing a code 4, the car will run like poop. If it's running fine, then don't worry about the code. Try resetting the ecu first. If you still have the code, use a multimeter and test the applicable wires for continuity.

If you need anymore help, let me know.

Re: question of the wiring sorts again

no the car is not running ok it will idle ok but when you give it gas it dosent know what to do for a bit then backfires. i will check the wiring and get back to ya . also this code 4 thing is strange because when i plug in my ecu that has the bent pin on it the car dosent trow a code 4 only a 3 for the map sensor. i would like to test this ecu in another car but i dont know anybody who has the same car or an si.

No, I just wanted to make sure you were using a PM6. Give the PG7 a try.
