Yes, it's the same.
As for the wiring issue your having, it's apparent that you have a short somewhere. Do this: remove all of your fuses under the dash. Put one fuse in at a time, then hit the breaks to see if the door ajar light comes on. If, when you insert a fuse and press the brakes the door ajar light comes on, you've now found what circuit in the car is shorted out. Then, you can troubleshoot that particular circuit.
As for the code 4...does your car still run ok though? If you are really experiencing a code 4, the car will run like poop. If it's running fine, then don't worry about the code. Try resetting the ecu first. If you still have the code, use a multimeter and test the applicable wires for continuity.
