Ball Joint Rubber Boot
Hi,
Last Week While Swapping Out My Axle (easy And Cheap) I Ripped Up The Grease Boot On The Ball Joint With The Fork Used To Pop The Control Arm Out. I Can Replace The Ball Joint Fairly Quick And Cheap But I Am Trying To Avoid It. My Question Is; Has Anyone Had This Happen? It Ripped Apart Easily And I Imagine It Happens Often. I Wonder If I Can Repair It With Rubber Electrical Tape Or Something. I Also Wonder How Long My Ball Joint Will Last Without The Grease. I Have A 1995 With 191,000 And The Ball Joints Are Still In Very Good Shape. |
