New...need some advice
Great site guys, I used to model cars about 8 or 9 years ago, mostly aircraft though. Well after finding this site I am addicted, I have ordered one kit and bought a couple Tamiya kits more on those another time! :bonghitte
Anyway I am building an AMT LS400 that has sat in my closet for 10 years! I have painted some of the underneath parts and have primed the body. I am gonna paint it Tamiya TS-30 silver ontop and german grey TS-4 on the bottom. The instructions call for a two-tone gray interior, I was thinking that wouldn't come out good, I was thinking semi-gloss black would be good. Any suggestions? Thanks for all the tips, Tamiya Spray is great! |

A mix of semi gloss and flat black well make it look better for the inside

Tamiya Semi-gloss Black looks better over a coat of Flat black. The german Grey spray is a Semi-gloss(which surprised me the acrylic is very flat)If you want to vary your blacks rub your fingers on flat black to add some sheen to it. Allot of builders make their interiors too shiny, look at a real car how much inside is realyy shiny. I have seen models with gloss black seats. If youse flat black and rub your finger on it it will have a natural leather or vinyl like shine, give it atry.
